Poly Wafer Segment Brushes, also known as sweeper wafers or broom wafers, are replacement brush components designed for use in road-sweeping machines. They are compatible with a range of equipment, including MacNay, skid steers and Broce sweepers.

At Triple H Technology, our wafer brushes are locally manufactured. They are manufactured using polypropylene bristle around a galvanised steel ring.

We manufacture both flat and convoluted (waved) wafer segment brushes, providing options to suit different machines, sweeping conditions and performance requirements.

Our poly wafer segment brushes are manufactured using high-quality polypropylene with an additive that ensures bristle life. This allows the bristles to deliver an effective flick action, helping to lift and move dirt, debris and other material from the surface being swept. Polypropylene has low water absorption and good resistance to moisture, rot and a wide range of chemicals, making it well suited to outdoor and heavy-duty sweeping applications. The result is a durable brush designed to deliver consistent sweeping performance.

Flat Wafer Segment Brushes

Available in a wide range of sizes, we can manufacture to customer specifications. Each segment features a galvanised steel centre ring, designed to securely locate onto the machine’s drive system and withstand demanding operating conditions.

For correct assembly, metal spacer rings should be fitted between each flat segment brush to maintain the required bristle spacing and ensure optimum sweeping performance.

Convoluted (Waved) Wafer Segment Brushes

Triple H manufactures convoluted (waved) wafer segment brushes, featuring a wave-like bristle profile designed to increase bristle movement and enhance sweeping action.

When stacked together, the waved profiles nest into one another, reducing or eliminating the need for separate spacer and allowing for faster core assembly. The increased bristle movement provides an effective flicking action for lifting and moving dust, sand, gravel, dirt and heavier road debris. This design increases life span.

Convoluted segments are particularly suited to heavy-duty road sweeping applications, where increased agitation helps loosen and collect stubborn or compacted debris.

When assembling a convoluted broom core, the outer two segments can be either flat or waved. Flat segments can be used on the outer ends to provide a more rigid edge and help secure the waved segments within the core.

Standard Wafer Segment Brush Specifications

Both Flat and Convoluted Wafer Segment brushes are manufactured in single-pin and double-pin.

To handle these conditions, we manufacture our wafer rings using high quality galvanised steel. This heavy-duty material provides superior galvanic protection preventing rust.

Industrial sweeping is a brutal job that exposes equipment to constant moisture, friction, and harsh road chemicals. Our Poly Wafer Segment brushes are available in different bristle stiffness. Hard is for aggressive scrubbing and heavy debris. Soft for general street sweeping and standard cleanups. Very Soft for delicate surfaces and fine dust control.
