The Right Bristle for the Job

Our brush ware is manufactured using high-quality polypropylene with an additive that ensures bristle life. This allows the bristles to deliver an effective flick action, helping to lift and move dirt, debris and other material from the surface being swept. Polypropylene has low water absorption and good resistance to moisture, rot and a wide range of chemicals, making it well suited to outdoor and heavy-duty sweeping applications. The result is a durable brush designed to deliver consistent sweeping performance.

Flick Motion

Polypropylene is highly resilient. Sweeping relies on a “flick” motion to push debris forward or into a hopper.

Poly bristles bend under pressure and quickly snap back into shape, providing excellent flicking force.

Polypropylene has virtually zero water absorption. This means the bristles maintain their stiffness, tensile strength, and rigidity equally well in completely dry conditions or heavy rain. It is highly resistant to oils, grease, chemical solvents, acids, and aggressive road salts. It will not degrade when cleaning up industrial spills or treated winter roads.

Unlike steel wire variants, poly bristles are non-destructive. They cleanly sweep away loose dirt, gravel, and leaves without scratching or gouging delicate surfaces like stamped concrete, brick pavers, or epoxy warehouse floors.

One limitation of polypropylene is its relatively low melting point. If an operator applies excessive downward pressure on hot asphalt, the extreme friction can cause the bristle tips to melt, smear, and bind together

Colour-Coded for Easy Identification

Our colour-coded bristles make it easy to identify the correct specification at a glance. Triple H Technology uses standard colours for different bristle sizes and stiffness, helping customers quickly select the right bristle for their sweeping application.

Standard Bristle Specifications

Polypropylene is our preferred bristle material, available in different thicknesses to provide varying levels of stiffness. Its lightweight properties help reduce the overall weight of the brush, making it easier to handle and install. Our bristle is available in three standard specifications, allowing the brush to be matched to the sweeping application and operating conditions.

Thickness	Stiffness	Usage
2 x 3mm	Hard (Green)	Best for heavy-duty sweeping and heavier, larger debris.
2 x 1mm	Soft (Blue)	Good balance between stiffness and flexibility. Suitable for both sweeping and debris pick-up. This thickness does not remove road markings.
1 X 1mm	Very Soft (Red)	Ideal for fine dust and small particles. The flexibility of this bristle provides greater contact with the road surface, allowing it to effectively collect fine dust and smaller particles. This thickness does not remove road markings.
